The collaboration will integrate the IAR Embedded Development Platform into Quintauris’ RT-Europa Reference Architecture, creating a unified environment for developers working on safety-critical applications.

Under the agreement, IAR’s certified compiler will become part of the RT-Europa offering, with plans to incorporate automated build tools, advanced debugging, and testing technologies in future releases. The combined solution is designed to accelerate development while meeting stringent automotive safety requirements.

RT-Europa provides a specialised RISC-V platform optimised for real-time processors in automotive applications. IAR’s toolchain supports functional safety standards, including ISO 26262, which is widely adopted across the automotive industry.

“This collaboration with IAR reinforces our mission to provide a reliable and high-performance RISC-V software ecosystem for the automotive sector,” said Pedro Lopez, Market Strategy Officer at Quintauris. “By integrating IAR’s proven toolchain technology into our reference architecture, we’re enabling developers to confidently build and certify safety-critical systems.”

Thomas Andersson, Chief Product Officer at IAR, added: “We are excited to join forces with Quintauris to extend our support for RISC-V developers in the automotive domain. Through this partnership, we continue our commitment to providing world-class toolchains that ensure safety, quality, and performance for next-generation Embedded Systems.”

The integration marks a significant step toward building a cohesive RISC-V ecosystem for automotive applications, addressing growing demands for safety, scalability, and performance in future vehicle architectures.
