STMicroelectronics presents high-precision Op Amp for demanding applications
STMICroElectronics has introduced the TSZ901 operational amplifier, a device designed to deliver exceptional accuracy, speed, and stability for precision electronics.
The new op amp combines zero-drift technology with a 10MHz gAIn-bandwidth, making it suitable for applications that require both high performance and reliability.
The TSZ901 employs chopper-stabilisation - a feature rarely seen in op amps with such high bandwidth - to achieve an input offset voltage as low as 5µV at 25°C and no more than 8µV across its full operating temperature range of -40°C to 125°C. This consistency eliminates the need for trimming, ensuring precise performance under varying conditions.
With an input noise level of just 9nV/√Hz, the device operates efficiently, drawing only 1.5mA at 5V and supporting supply voltages from 2.5V to 5.5V. These characteristics make it well-suited for circuits such as MEMS sensor interfaces, current-sense amplifiers, precision filters, instrumentation buffers, transimpedance amplifiers, analogue front-ends, and voltage references.
By reducing the need for calibration and external compensation components, the TSZ901 helps designers simplify layouts, minimise circuit footprint, and lower overall costs. Faster production testing and reduced lifetime maintenance further add to its appeal.
The component is AEC-Q100 qualified, enabling use in Automotive systems, industrial Sensors, control modules, and medical instruments. It is now available in a compact SOT23-5 package.
